For candidates

If you applied somewhere that uses Krudo.

Plain language · what is checked, what isn't, what you can ask

Some employers use Krudo to check that an application holds together - that the name, the documents and the public record tell the same story. This page says exactly what that means for you.

What Krudo does

Reads
Your application as your prospective employer received it: your name, your CV and its attachments, the contact details you gave.
Compares
With sources anyone can see: a public profile, a company website, a dated publication, whether a photograph appears elsewhere under another name.
Produces
A score from 0 to 100 and a short list of reasons, read by a person on the hiring team. High means “worth a closer look”, never “rejected”.

What Krudo never does

Contact you
Krudo never emails, calls or messages a candidate. The only thing it writes into the employer's system is the result of the assessment, on your application.
Decide
The score is information for a recruiter. Interviewing, advancing or rejecting is their decision, and they can override any band.
Look behind logins
Nothing private is accessed - no accounts, no messages, no paid databases. Public sources only.
Keep your documents
Files are read during the check and discarded. Only derived facts remain, for a period set by the employer.

What you can ask

Under GDPR you can ask what was assessed, ask for a correction, or ask for the assessment to be deleted. Write to the employer, or to us at privacy@krudo.ai with the employer's name - we acknowledge within 24 hours and forward to them with your reference. We don't need anything else from you to do that.

Contesting a decision about you

Krudo never rejects anyone: your prospective employer decides. If you believe a decision about you was taken with the help of an automated assessment, Article 22 of the GDPR gives you the right to have a person look at it again, to put your side of it, and to contest the outcome. Here is how that works with us, step by step. It is carried out by people at Krudo, by hand, and none of it happens on its own.

Write to us
Send a message to privacy@krudo.ai. Name the employer you applied to and the address you applied with. You do not need a reference number, an account, or a form.
We answer you
We acknowledge within 24 hours and give you a reference. Within five working days we send you, in plain language, what was checked and the reasons recorded against your application.
A person looks again
We pass your challenge to the employer, who is the one who decides, and ask that a human being re-examine the application without the score in front of them. You can add anything you want them to read. They have one month to answer you, which is the period the law sets.
What we correct
If something we recorded is wrong, we correct it and re-run the assessment on the corrected value. If you want the assessment gone, we erase it. Both are done within five working days.
What we cannot do
Krudo cannot overturn an employer's decision. We can correct what we hold, tell you what we recorded and ask for a review. If the employer does not answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
